I need to finalize the space/equipment request today, and it's not obvious to me where the noon section wants to do this Swing Dancing thing? Do you want to perform in Edson? Teach people in some other space? I doubt we could get enough space in Oyate. Louie's Lower Level (that strange space right below Oyate) would probably work, but they have a big rug there and I don't know if that would be a problem. (We could probably roll it up, but we'd have to put things back.) This needs to sent in today, so discuss and suggest in the comments to this post and I'll send something in at the last minute :-).
I'll get space in Oyate for two tables for the sections to share, and space for the 3pm section to project their movie (screen, projector, couch). Does that group want to use a computer for the projection, or a DVD player?

I don't know if there's enough room in louie's lower level...we could try it I suppose, probably not that many people would be there at a time. are we all teaching how to swing dance? is that what we for sure decided on? would we all be in louie's teaching people how to swing dance or would some of us do other things? what abot the people who weren't there for the presentation? (liz, kelsey, jesh) i guess i'd say louie's would work...is there a stero system down there that we could use?
Louie's would probably work if we roll back the rug. We should make something to put at the table in Oyate so that people know to look down there otherwise there'd be a good chance we'd just get entirely passed by. Are we going to be practicing in class so that we can all help teach people? Culture Jammer's got a point with the stereo system question-can we make it loud enough to draw some attention?
